Author Guidelines

The SCID Journal of Artificial Intelligence (SJAI) invites high-quality, original research articles, review papers, short communications, and case studies in all areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI). To ensure a smooth review and publication process, authors are requested to follow the guidelines below carefully.

(1) Manuscript Types Accepted

  • Original Research Articles (3000–8000 words)
  • Review Articles (4000–10000 words)
  • Short Communications (1500–3000 words)
  • Case Studies / Technical Notes (1500–4000 words)

(2) Submission Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review
  • All submissions must be made through the online submission system.
  • The manuscript must be submitted in English, in MS Word (DOC/DOCX)
  • Include a cover letter briefly describing the significance of your work.

(3) Manuscript Structure

A standard research article should follow this structure:

  1. Title Page
    • Title (concise and descriptive)
    • Author names and affiliations
    • Corresponding author details (email, ORCID iD)
  2. Abstract (150–250 words)
    • Brief overview of objectives, methods, results, and conclusion
  3. Keywords (4–6 words/phrases)
  4. Introduction
    • Background, problem statement, objectives
  5. Related Work / Literature Review (if applicable)
  6. Methodology
    • Detailed explanation of the research design, tools, models, or algorithms used
  7. Results and Discussion
    • Findings with appropriate figures/tables
    • Interpretation and analysis of results
  8. Conclusion and Future Work
  9. Acknowledgments (optional)
  10. References
    • Use APA 7th style

(4)  Figures and Tables

  • Must be numbered (e.g., Figure 1, Table 2)
  • High-resolution images (minimum 300 DPI)
  • Include captions and cite them in the text
  • Submit figures as separate files if required

(5)  Citation and Reference Style

Use consistent referencing style throughout. SJAI accepts:

  • APA 7th Edition (e.g.,):
    → Smith, J. (2022). Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare. AI Journal, 12(3), 45–56.

(6)  Plagiarism Policy

SJAI strictly prohibits plagiarism and self-plagiarism. Manuscripts must be less than 15% similarity, excluding references. All submissions are checked using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate).

(7)  Ethical Compliance

For research involving human participants or animals, authors must provide ethical approval statement and Informed consent documentation.

(8)  Supplementary Materials

Authors are encouraged to submit, datasets, source code and additional appendices. This promotes transparency and reproducibility.

(9)  Article Processing Charges (APCs)

SJAI is charging minimal APC detailed in Publication Charges Policy section. No APCs are applied for accepted articles.

(10)  Submission Process

Submit your manuscript via our Online Submission System. All correspondence will be through the registered email address of the corresponding author.

(11)  Review Timeline

  • Initial editorial decision: 3–5 days
  • Peer review: 3–4 weeks
  • Revisions (if needed): 1–3 weeks
  • Final decision: within 60 days of submission
