Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism Policy
At SCID Journal of Artificial Intelligence (SJAI), we uphold the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. Plagiarism in any form is considered unethical and unacceptable.
Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
- Copying text, data, images, or ideas from other sources without proper citation
- Paraphrasing substantial parts of another work without acknowledgment
- Submitting another person’s work, in whole or in part, as your own
- Self-plagiarism (republishing one’s own previously published content without transparency)
Plagiarism Detection
All submitted manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening using professional tools Turnitin.
We follow these thresholds:
- Similarity Index < 15%: Acceptable for review
- 15–25%: Manuscript will be returned for revision
- >25%: Manuscript will be rejected immediately
Note: Properly cited references, quotations, and bibliographies are not counted toward the similarity score.

If plagiarism is detected at any stage (submission, review, or post-publication), the following actions may be taken:
- Rejection of the manuscript
- Retraction of a published article
- Notification to authors' affiliated institutions
- Temporary or permanent ban from future submissions
Author Responsibilities
- Ensure the originality of their submission
- Appropriately cite all sources, including their own previously published work
- Submit only manuscripts that have not been published or submitted elsewhere
