Peer Review Process
The SCID Journal of Artificial Intelligence (SJAI) follows a rigorous, transparent, and fair double-blind peer review process to ensure the publication of high-quality and original research in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
(1) Submission Acknowledgment
Upon submission, the author receives an acknowledgment confirming that the manuscript has been received.
(2) Initial Editorial Assessment
The Editor-in-Chief or a Section Editor evaluates the manuscript for:
- Relevance to the journal’s scope
- Compliance with formatting guidelines
- Plagiarism screening using standard tools, Turnitin
Manuscripts not meeting basic requirements may be desk-rejected.
(3) Assignment to Reviewers
Suitable manuscripts are sent to two or more independent experts in the field. The journal uses a double-blind system:
- Authors do not know the reviewers' identities
- Reviewers do not know the authors' identities
(4) Reviewer Evaluation
- Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript on the basis of:
- Originality and novelty
- Technical soundness and methodology
- Clarity and coherence
- Contribution to the field of Artificial Intelligence
- Ethical considerations and reproducibility
- Reviewers provide:
- A recommendation (Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, Reject)
- Constructive comments for both authors and the editor
(5) Editorial Decision
- Based on reviewers’ reports, the editor may decide to:
- Accept the manuscript
- Request minor or major revisions
- Reject the manuscript
- In case of conflicting reviews, the editor may:
- Request a third review
- Make a decision based on expertise and consensus
(6) Revision and Resubmission
- If revisions are required, authors are invited to submit a revised version along with a response letter addressing each reviewer comment.
- Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the same reviewers for re-evaluation.
(7) Final Decision
- The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision and notifies the authors.
- Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout editing, and final publication.
Publication
- Once finalized, the article is published online in the journal’s upcoming issue.
- All published articles are assigned a DOI and indexed accordingly.
