Open Access Policy

SCID Journal of Artificial Intelligence (SJAI) is an open access journal. Articles appear immediately and free of cost on the Internet, with none of the restrictions to access (registration or subscriptions) after the journal issue is made freely and openly available.

The meaning of Open Access

Open access means that swift readers of the world-wide community may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or connect in full-track articles. The copyright remains with the authors and the dissemination of research work is extended as more and more people get access to the work, which heightens the citation and effect.

Licensing Terms

By default, all articles in SJAI are offered under the license of Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). This license enables one to use, reuse, and redistribute the material in any and all forms and media. Article processing charges (APCs)

SJAI could impose Article Processing Charge (APC) to facilitate publication of an open access article to support cost of editorial handling, peer review, copyediting and hosting services online. Upon acceptance, authors will be informed about the APCs (in case they apply). APC waivers or discounts can be put in place to accommodate authors in a low-income country or at the case-by-case basis.

Archiving and Accessibility

All works published in SJAI are preserved into the long-term via LOCKSS/CLOCKSS systems.

Why SJAI Supports Open Access

The open access is also compliant with the mission of SJAI, which is to enhance innovation and openness of the research in the field of Artificial Intelligence, fasten knowledge dissemination worldwide, and facilitate fair access of the scientific literature and publications, no matter the location or the economic background.
